“Hi Mark! Thanks so much for doing such a beautiful job on our video! We watched the proof on Sunday and it made Harry and I cry, laugh and it really gave us a chance to see all the beauty that our wedding day was!”

“Thank you Mark! We watched our video proof last night and it is amazing! We were so impressed w/ the attention to the small details and it was so much fun to get to see all of the things we missed that day. Thank you for being so professional, so timely and so talented! I’ve already recommended Silent Sea to many couples and will continue to do so. Can’t wait for the final video. Thanks again!!”
-Dinine & Mike Casale
Dinine and Michael’s wedding reception was held at The Primavera Regency in Stirling NJ. Dash of Class provided the entertainment and it was a great night filled with traditions, new and old. You can view Dinine’s original post on facebook/silentseaproductions
Another great winter wedding today, a little cold but bright sunshine. Both Jessica, Chris and their families’ are great. Their son Griffin is a memorable little boy. For those of you Rutgers fans, if you don’t know about Kirkpatrick Chapel on Old Queens Campus, you should go inside. What a beautiful place to get married. They accommodate pretty much any denomination. You’d have to hire you’re own minister, but the vivid colors and classic architecture alone make up for that. I shot with the guys from Lloyd’s Fine Photography and was very impressed. Not only is the owner Dan professional, but he’s a real cool guy as well. Congratulations to him on his newborn. These guys are centrally based and reasonably priced so go ahead and check some of their work out www.lloydsfinephotography.com
What a perfect day for Anne and Bryon Martinez; beautiful sunshine and warmth for December. These two are truly great people with wonderful families. I can’t say enough about McCloones for small weddings. www.mcloones.com
This night was at the Rum Runner and it ran so smooth. The food was great, and the room was decorated with a mix of both the holidays and the wedding. You can’t beat the view and the fireplace. I worked with Elite Entertainment again; Jason and Nick got the crowd into it. If you go with Jason for your wedding ask him to sing during dinner, he has a great voice. I also worked with these two lovely ladies.
Loretta and Pat are wonderful. I first worked with Pat back at Anne’s brother’s wedding last year. She’s a great shooter and so easy to talk to. Loretta is quiet and professional and you can’t beat that in my opinion. They make a great team and I highly recommend them so give them a call. www.photosbyloretta.com
Another successful wedding with Elite Entertainment’s Dominic Sestito. I worked with Dom a bunch of times, but most memorable would have to be last November at the Lakeside Manor for the LaBau Wedding. I’m upstairs shooting a second camera behind the scenes with the bride and groom as my second shooter Matt is on the dance floor for the introductions. I’m getting so into it because Chris and Theresa are so young and cool, that I’m blindsided by the troop of servers in preparations for the champagne toast and Dom comes to the rescue and saves my face from being burned off (They bring out the bottles with sparklers on top.) www.eliteentertainmentnj.com
Although there was none of those shenanigans at the Luyster Wedding this weekend, Cheryl and Dan had a great day. Despite the Black Friday traffic, everything worked out amazing. You couldn’t ask for a better wedding planner than Gisselle Munoz of Madison Affairs. She’s personable and professional and she was always the first to ask me if I needed anything all night, which is really great. www.madisonaffairs.com
What a surprise today was when I arrived to meet Rachel and Greg Nowick and saw half of the wedding party from Linar Barry’s wedding back in July. I love referrals because you really get to know the people. This was the third wedding I had shot for this group of NJ girls, and let me tell you every night was just as fun as the others. I remembered Greg from Linar’s wedding and I could not wait to see what dance moves he was going to pull out tonight (You might want to hire him to dance at your parties, he’s that entertaining.) But in all seriousness, it was another rain wedding at The Liberty House. I must say I know that most people come here for the view of NYC but despite not being able to shoot great views of the city through the rain and fog, the area still allows for beautiful shots. I worked with Kay English again, which was a pleasure. We shot inside the old train station, which provided a memorable backdrop and beautiful aesthetic. Liberty House does a good job whether you’ve got that view of New York or not, so don’t stress the weather.
What a unique and fun wedding on the Andersen Farm again, this time decorated for the Holidays. Laura and Josh Black and their families really know how to have fun. It was great to see Laura’s sister Linar, her husband Michael, and the entire extended family again. It’s always nice when you video two sisters’ weddings because you really get to see them both in their elements having fun. Sometimes on your wedding day there is so much to do that you really can’t let loose. Not the case for these two brides. Another band, this time outside in a huge tent with amazing food, a fire pit, and again a lot of Bruce Springsteen. I worked with Kay English Photography. What a passionate shooter. Her and her husband are very creative and get some great shots. Kay is the sweetest person, she’s fun and professional so check out her website www.kayenglishphotography.com
Katherine and Harry Rios had a great day. Harry is a big guy; you get the feeling that he could have played for the NFL. But when I met him and his guys during the Bride Preparations, he had the excitement that you see in most brides. He shined and you could really tell how much he just wanted everything to be perfect for his bride Katherine. This couple and their families are one of the classiest groups of people I have ever met. It brought me so much pride to hear their complements at the end of the night. I shot with Alison Conklin who glides through the night with ease, what a pro. Check out her website it speaks for itself www.alisonconklin.com
Angela and Alida from Juliet events were great to work with as well. They’re personable, helpful, and let me tell you, these two women worked harder than I’ve ever seen wedding planners work before. They set up the entire decorations for the ceremony at Colonial Park, which was enchanting, and coordinated things at The Palace at Somerset Park. Before I had the chance to ask a question, they came to me with the answer so check them out. www.julietevents.com
Estrella and Alan Rosenberg couldn’t have asked for a better day with the sunshine, although I get the feeling that the heat was getting to everyone. I worked with Stephanie Sherwood of Sherwood Photography today. We had both taken the trip from the shore up to the New York / Jersey border, which was a drive of a few hours, and it turned out we live a few blocks away from each other. What a small world. She’s a great photographer, professional, with just the right amount of artistic edge in my opinion so check out her website. www.photographybysherwood.com
Sometimes in this business you see horror stories happen and it’s a true test of the professionalism of every vendor on board when one sets the day off track. Lindsey and Rick Martinelli are both great people and when I heard that their church had canceled on them last minute due to unexpected structural maintenance I knew that this day could go places that nobody wanted it to go. The good news is that it didn’t. Lindsey and her mother were able to find another church within weeks or her wedding, but then she woke up to rain. I arrived at her Bride Preparations expecting the worst, but instead found the best. Lindsey is such a trooper, she had nothing but smiles, and when I met her family I realized why. What awesome, down to earth people. Her mother and I talked quite a bit and I told her she reminded me of my mother. (Turns out they grew up in the same neighborhood). The day turned out great. The Staff at the Stone House in Stirling did an amazing job and Anthony Gerardi of Platinum Entertainment got the crowd moving and they didn’t stop. These guys did a Photo Montage, a light show, and played a wide variety of music with a NYC feel, which I found out later was the request of the bride.
